The GET phase is a critical transition period where we bridge the gap between primary schooling and the specialization of the senior years.
At Wynberg High School, our curriculum for Grade 8 and 9 is designed to provide a broad, holistic foundation, allowing learners to explore a wide variety of disciplines before making their final subject choices.
Our GET program follows the CAPS curriculum, ensuring that every learner develops essential literacy, numeracy, and critical thinking skills. To ensure a well-rounded education, all learners engage in t9 learning areas.
Our goal in the GET phase is to ignite curiosity and help learners identify their unique strengths and interests as they prepare for the FET years.

The FET phase marks the final stretch of the high school journey. This is where academic rigor meets career aspirations.
At Wynberg High School, we provide a sophisticated learning environment that prepares our students for the National Senior Certificate (NSC) and beyond—whether that be university, vocational training, or entering the workforce.
In Grade 10, learners select a specialized package of subjects. While four subjects are compulsory (the "Core"), learners choose three additional "Electives" that align with their future career paths:
